At the reception, Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Mitsunari OKAMOTO and member of the House of Councilor’s Mrs. Kuniko INOGUCHI, former First Lady Mrs. Kumiko HASHIMOTO, Jamaican Ambassador to Japan Mr. Allicock, and attendees related to Central America and Caribbean efforts were in attendance. The Prime Minister’s birthday was two days later, so to celebrate this APIC’s President Peter Sato presented the Prime Minister with a surprise birthday cake, creating a warm and enjoyable evening.

In a media interview after his return to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Prime Minister Gonsalves mentioned President Sato and the evening, which seemed to make a deep impression upon his time spent in Japan.
