4th Term APIC-MCT Exchange Student Enters Sophia University Graduate School
Ms. Yatilman will spend two years studying at Sophia University Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies along with her peers.
The APIC-MCT Exchange Student Scholarship Program is based on a cooperation agreement between Sophia University, MCT (Micronesia Conservation Trust), and APIC. The goal of the agreement is to education and develop human resources in the field of environmental protection, sending exchange students from the three countries of Micronesia to study at Sophia University Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies in order to obtain their master’s degree. Since its launch in 2017, seven students have graduated from the program thus far, and currently three students are conducting research on their individual subjects.
Due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sophia University has gone completely online with its classes for the spring and fall semesters of 2020. Exchange students are no exception, as they are taking online classes from either their home country or from the Sophia dorms in Japan.
